Studies of plant development are the primary focus of long-term research in our laboratory. Our aim is to identify the genes governing decisive steps in cell differentiation, and the subsequent characterization of the regulations of these genes. The use of both classic and somatic cell genetics (gene transfer, T-DNA gene tagging, mutagenesis and map based clothing) in conjunction with approaches culture, have enabled us to analysis essential plant functions. We participate extensively in the development of generic methodologies for the analysis of the plant genome and the dynamics of gene expression.
