Book Number: 69148
Child Labour is a menace, it's a curse, a black spot on the fact of our society. Regretfully, the number of working children in our country is increasing every year and that is despite all efforts and claims made by the Government, Social Organisations and NGOs, in this regard. Various factors are responsible for this state of affairs. To a great extent the economic compulsions of the families of these children are responsible for their plight. Ironically, some employers prefer to engage kinds in their units, as they re easily available more obedient and cheaper in wagers. This is a sin and crime. In fact the children, working for earning a livelihood, lose all the pleasure of life and the potential of growth and development. Now there is an awareness, world over and laws have been enacted and implemented in order to protect children from exploitation in the name of employment. However, unlawful recruitment of under-age workers continues in most parts of the world. Particularly in developing countries and shamelessly in India too. ISBN:8179080048 274 Yr. of Pub.
